Privacy Policy

The short version

Ambrosia is a static informational site. We do not run accounts, forms that submit, newsletters or analytics on this build. We do not collect names, email addresses or payment details through this site. The one area that involves tracking is the affiliate links, and that is explained in full below.

Affiliate tracking links

This is the part that matters most, so we give it its own section rather than a single line.

• Nothing is tracked while you read. Browsing these pages does not start any tracking.
• Tracking starts only on a click. When you click an offer link, that click can carry parameters such as subid, clickid, campaign or afp. These identify the page and campaign that sent the click, not you as a person.
• The affiliate network sets its own cookie on its own domain after the click, and may log your IP address, the time, the referring page and browser details.
• Some networks use fingerprint matching as a fallback where cookies are blocked.
• We receive counts by campaign, not named individuals. We see how many clicks a page sent, not who you are.
• Those records belong to the network and the operator. Their handling is governed by their privacy policies, not this one.
• How to avoid it: do not click the offer links, or block third-party cookies in your browser.

The cookie notice on this site

Every page shows a small informational cookie notice near the bottom. It is a notice, not a consent request. Because this site uses no JavaScript, the notice cannot remember that you dismissed it. It returns on every page load and every navigation. That is a known limit of a script-free build, and it is by design rather than a fault.

What this site does not do

• It does not set its own analytics or advertising cookies.
• It does not run contact, sign-up or comment forms that submit data.
• It does not send a newsletter or store an email list.
• It does not sell or share personal information, because it does not collect any through the pages.

If any of this changes later, for example if a click redirect, a first-party cookie or analytics is added, this section and the affiliate section above must both be updated to stay accurate.

Third-party sites

When you follow a link to an operator or a support service, you leave this site and their privacy practices apply. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their handling of your data. Read their policies before you register or share information.

Your choices

You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, decline to click affiliate links, and use private browsing. For rights that may apply to you under Canadian privacy law, contact us and we will help where we can, though as noted this site collects no personal data through its pages.
